About Shayne Mallard

Shayne Mallard is Principal of The Engagement Advisory and brings over three decades of experience across government, public policy, stakeholder engagement, and institutional leadership.

He has served over 20 years in public office including eight years as a member of the NSW Parliament including roles as Parliamentary Secretary for Western Sydney and the Aerotropilis. Prior he served 12 years on the City of Sydney Council and has held senior roles in local government and public administration, including Director-level leadership in one of Australia’s largest and fastest-growing regions.

Shayne has extensive experience working with:

• Cultural and community stakeholders

• Private sector organisations navigating public environments

His work is defined by discretion, strategic clarity, and an ability to operate effectively in complex political and institutional contexts.
